What are the points to inspect before operating these Eaton circuit breakers?
- Clean the area around the breaker by covering them with an enclosure and removing any dust, dirt, grease, moisture, foreign contaminants or safety hazards near the area.
- Make sure that the mechanical linkages like the toggle actuator are free to operate, simply by switching the unit ON & OFF several times. Tighten the terminals & connectors.
- Users can mechanically test the circuit breaker by pressing the optional push-to-trip button at the bottom side of the unit.
- Inspect the unit for any overheating, cracks, chipping or discolouration.
What is the difference between a fuse and a circuit breaker?
