The brand Mueller Industries traces its history back to 1852 when Hieronymous Mueller migrated to the USA and became an inventor having an interest in plumbing, especially plumbing using copper.
Tubing is generally more expensive than pipe due to tighter manufacturing tolerances. However, the measured and stated outside diameters (OD) of tubing are almost exact in most cases. Copper tubing usually has a measured outside diameter (1/8 inch larger than the stated OD).
