Dayton fire and smoke dampers are employed in office buildings, healthcare facilities and HVAC duct systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke in case of a fire. Dayton fire dampers adhere to UL, NFPA and IBC regulations and can accommodate airflow in any direction. Dampers must be kept clean and safe from dirt, dust and other foreign elements before and after installation. When installed inside HVAC ductwork, the damper blades automatically close when a rise in temperature is detected or a smoke alarm goes off. Dynamic mount fire dampers feature steel spring-assist closing of the blades and velocity & pressure ratings of 2000 fpm & 4 inch wg, respectively.
