Hydraulic sign post drivers and tampers from Greenlee are uniquely designed for setting poles, asphalt patches and general construction backfill compacting applications. These drivers and tampers feature a universal adapter that allows the unit to be used with multiple post sizes, U channels, breakaway stubs, T fences and wood. They have a reversible On/Off valve for open and closed centre hydraulic systems. Greenlee's pole tampers come with only three moving parts that minimise wear and maintenance. However, regular inspection, such as checking hydraulic fluid levels and signs of damage is needed to ensure safe and effective use.
Any non-detergent, petroleum-based hydraulic fluid is compatible with Greenlee's tampers and drivers.
When using tampers and drivers, it is important to wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) like eye protection, ear protection and gloves. Operators should be trained well prior to using these tools.
