Lever Chain Hoists

Other features include rugged forks, safety latches and swivels Different types of hoists such as double-disc, screw and disc and Weston brake help in positioning of loads with precision and available options can be categorised by size or load capacity

Working Mechanism

The working of the lever chain hoist is based on a simple mechanical principle of the lever system.
It comprises a lever arm, a load-bearing chain and a fulcrum point (hook).
When the operator applies force to the lever arm, the lever system multiples the force and converts it into a pulling force on the chain.
As the lever arm is moved back & forth, the laid chain is pulled through the lifting mechanism, causing the load to be lifted off the ground.
The operator controls the speed and direction of the lifting motion by adjusting the position of the lever arm.

Features

Dayton Lever Chain Hoists :

They feature a spring-loaded design that allows easy adjustment and helps to protect against accidental free wheeling.
These chain hoists come equipped with a Weston-style load brake, hardened steel chain and dual-stage reduction gearing to allow lifting heavy loads with minimal effort, thereby eliminating operator fatigue.
They are integrated with top and bottom hooks that rotate 360 degrees to position the hoist at different angles and orientations. They are designed to open slowly without fracturing under overloads.
These lever chain hoists have load capacities up to 13200 lb.

Harrington Lever Chain Hoists :

These chain hoists are ideal for lifting and moving loads in warehouses, loading docks and manufacturing units.
They provide overload protection when activated, ensuring that the hoist is not overloaded beyond its capacity.
This mechanism refrains the hoist from operating unless the load is reduced by the operator.
They also include other features like a Weston-style automatic brake, a safety chain stop, a rubber grip and a fully enclosed wheel to protect the hoist's gears.
