Features
TB Wood's sprockets are available in diverse styles with and without sprocket belts for assembling easily.
TB Wood's timing sprockets provide mechanical power transmission by combining the benefits of chain & gear drives with the belted drives.
Timing belt drives save space and are lightweight without any decrease in efficiency while adapting to most power transmission drives.
TB Wood's QT Power Chain synchronous sprockets provide enhanced torque capacity due to their homogeneously integrated components.
QT Power Chain drives have superior performance than other belt drives and are comparable to chain & other mechanical systems.
TB Wood's QT PowerChain II belt drive system consists of a synchronous belt, sprockets, bushings and idlers for application in both low & high speeds.
QT PowerChain II sprockets provide greater power ratings than the earlier version with a more compact size and narrower widths.
TB Wood's Synchronous Plus sprockets have a dual design featuring both metric & standard-tapped holes and are attached to a high-capacity Synchronous Plus belt, ensuring a significantly higher horsepower rating at a cheaper cost compared to other drive assemblies.
TB Wood's Synchronous Plus TL sprockets are similar to the TB Wood's Synchronous Plus sprockets but with a taper locking bushing bore instead of the Quick Disconnect Bushing bore present in the basic version.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the basic installation steps for these TB Wood's sprockets?
Align the sprockets properly to equalise the load across the entire belt width.
Install the belt without forcing it over the sprocket. If extra force is required to install the belt, either remove the sprocket flange or decrease the centre distance between the sprockets.
Tension the installed belt using general or force deflection method.
Why are idlers required in some TB Wood's sprockets?
Idlers are used in some Synchronous & Timing sprockets for reducing belt whip in assemblies having long centre drives or when obstructions need to be avoided beside the assembly. However, idlers should be avoided wherever possible as they decrease the belt life and the horsepower rating of the system.
What are these TB Wood's sprockets made of?
TB Wood's sprockets are constructed of cast iron, ductile iron or steel for structural rigidity, whereas the supplied sprocket belts are made of nylon or polyurethane for durability.
