Belt drive Dayton upblast ventilators are suitable for whisking away fumes, foul air, grease-laden vapours, odours and potentially hazardous particles from schools, kitchen hoods and various commercial facilities. These centrifugal ventilators feature motor compartments that are isolated from contaminated air and are cooled by fresh air pulled from the outside. Hazardous location upblast ventilators feature spun aluminium housing with rolled wind band for increased stability, backward-inclined centrifugal wheels to minimise interference with airflow and spark-resistant aluminium rub rings to eliminate contact between fan shaft & housing. Severe duty upblast ventilators feature centrifugal wheels with special polyester powder non-stick coating for easier grease removal. The Dayton upblast ventilators without drive package feature a drive frame, blower wheel and motor that are completely base plate isolated using independent neoprene studs for metal-to-metal contact elimination and reduced overall noise. They also feature base welded aluminium windbands for leak proof seal between the mounting surface and the ventilator. They operate continuously to vent grease, foul air and odour under low to moderate static pressure conditions. They have steel construction with a grey polyester coating to increase corrosion resistance & durability and withstand a maximum inlet temperature of 400 degrees F. These ventilators come without assembled belt drive packages that offer greater flexibility in terms of rpm speeds, as the motor is not directly in contact with the fan's moving parts.
